JOHNNY HANDSOME MOVIE CAST
Promotional still for the 1989 film signed by stars Morgan Freeman and Forest Whitaker
Photograph signed: "Forest Whitaker", "Morgan/Freeman", in felt tip, B/w 10x8. After some Broadway appearances in the late 1960s, including the all-black version of Hello, Dolly!, MORGAN FREEMAN (b. 1937) moved to daytime TV, where he was featured on Another World and the children's program The Electric Company. His breakthrough to film stardom came in 1989, when he appeared in Driving Miss Daisy and Glory. Freeman's trustworthy, fatherly face earned him roles as US President (Deep Impact) and God (Bruce Almighty). After three Oscar nominations, he won Best Supporting Actor for Million Dollar Baby (2004). FOREST WHITAKER (b. 1961) is known for his intensive character study in his films, beginning with one of his earliest starring roles in Good Morning, Vietnam. While Whitaker has appeared in a wide variety of roles throughout his career, his career has been mostly remembered for his appearance in to direct-to-video films alongside novice actors. In recent years, however, Whitaker has seen a rise in popularity with major roles in films like The Last King of Scotland (2006), Phone Booth (2002), and Lee Daniels' The Butler (2013). The actor has also taken up roles behind the camera as a producer and director, most recently on the film Fruitvale Station (2013). Fine condition.
