Child actor Johnny Whitaker (b. 1959) appeared in the TV sitcom Family Affair (1966-1971) the same year that he was in his first feature film: The Russians are Coming, The Russians are Coming (1966). In 1972, he starred opposite 10-year old Jodie Foster in her screen debut, sharing title roles inNapoleon and Samantha. He starred again in the kids' comedy Sigmund and the Sea Monster (1973-1975), and in the title role inTom Sawyer (1973). After two years of missionary service and a degree from Brigham Young University, he founded a computer consulting firm, runs acting workshops, and co-hosts a radio talk show, but has occasionally returned to TV and movies.
