Riker on Star Trek: The Next Generation from 1987-1994, and he
directed eight episodes of the series as well as episodes of Generation's
spin-offs, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager, and
two Star Trek feature films, Star Trek: First Contact (1996) and
Star Trek: Insurrection (1998). Frakes reprised his role as Riker
on both spin-offs and films as well as on the TV series, Enterprise
(2005) and in several feature films (Star Trek: Generations, 1994;
Star Trek the Experience: The Klingon Encounter, 1998; and, Star Trek:
Nemesis, 2002), and he provided the voice of his character for several video
games. Frakes is also well-known for voicing David Xanatos in the
Gargoyles series and for his appearance on the TV miniseries,
North and South (for which he grew his trademark beard). He has
also appeared in feature films, in made-for-TV movies and on several TV series,
beginning with his first recurring role on The Doctors (1977-1978).
Married to actress Genie Francis (Laura of Luke and Laura fame on
General Hospital) since 1988, Frakes is now on the faculty of Rockport
College in Maine, where he teaches classes in film and television directing.
Slightly creased at lower left and upper right blank corners, light black mark
at upper left edge. Minor surface smudges (not evident head on). Fine
condition.
