Still from the 1952 romantic comedy, Anything Can Happen, which starred Ferrer as East European immigrant Giorgi Pasashvily, who falls in love with an American girl, Helen Watson (played by co-star Kim Hunter). ©1952, Paramount Pictures Corporation. Captioned at lower margin. In 1952, Ferrer also starred in his Best Actor Academy Award nominated role as painter Toulouse-Lautrec in Moulin Rouge. Puerto Rican-born stage, screen and television actor José Ferrer (1912-1992) won the 1950 Academy Award for Best Actor for reprising his 1947 Tony Award-winning title role in Cyrano de Bergerac. He had previously been nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar as the Dauphin in Joan of Arc (1948). Ferrer, who was married to singer Rosemary Clooney from 1953-1961 and 1964-1967, was the uncle of Academy Award-winning actor, George Clooney. Lightly creased at blank margins and corners, five ¼-inch slits at blank right edge. Minor surface creases (not evident head on). Fine condition.
