José Ferrer (1909-1992) won the 1950 Academy Award for Best Actor for
reprising his 1947 Tony Award winning title role in Cyrano de
Bergerac. He had previously been nominated for a Best Supporting Actor
Oscar as the Dauphin in Joan of Arc (1948) and would be nominated again
for Best Actor in 1952 for his portrayal of painter Toulouse-Lautrec in
Moulin Rouge. Showbill; folded down center, lightly toned, corners
slightly worn and creased, light surface creased. Sheet; Tape on left margin,
Corners worn and creased, toned on edges, edges worn and creased, small notch on
right edge, surface creases, ink notes (unknown hand) on top right corner.
