Sports card signed: "José Tolentino", in blue felt tip, 2½x3½. José Tolentino (b.1961) played 44 games in the Majors for the Houston Astros in 1991. A first baseman from the Texas Longhorns' 1983 World Series winning team, Tolentino was selected in the 7th round of the 1983 amateur draft. Before entering the majors, Tolentino went on a 30 game hitting streak, setting a pro record (1990). After his brief time with the Astros, Tolentino opted to play in the Mexican Leagues where he was a major star. He was also the first Mexican to play baseball in the Japanese Leagues. Lightly toned at edges. Fine condition.
