Autograph letter signed: "Joseph Campanella", in blue ink, 1 page, 8½x11. Included is the original mailing envelope. October 1, 1984. Los Angeles, California. In part: "To The American Museum of Historical Documents - Although I have been an actor for 33 years and played many roles, - and have been nominated for The Tony Award, The Emmy Award (twice), and the Ohio - my favorite role is playing father to my seven (7) sons." Joseph Campanella (1924-2018), who has appeared on stage, screen and television, was nominated for a 1962 Tony Award for Best Actor for A Gift of Time. After making his film debut in 1960, Campanella has appeared in a number of feature films, but he is best known for his work on television, which includes featured roles on several series (including The Nurses, Mannix, The Colbys, Dallas and That's Life), miniseries and made-for-TV movies. He has also starred in three daytime "soaps", The Guiding Light (1959-1960), Days of Our Lives (1987-1992) and The Bold and the Beautiful (1996-2002). Corners slightly worn and creased. Fine condition.
