In full: "I am indeed sorry to learn of the death of Mrs. Tucker. I know how much this loss means to you, and I want to extend to you my deepest sympathy in your bereavement." Martin represented Massachusetts as a Republican in the House of Representatives from 1925-1967. He was House Minority Leader (1939-1947, 1949-1953, 1955-1959) and Speaker of the House (1947-1949, 1953-1957). Folds visible. Slight indentations. Otherwise, fine condition.
