Eckland (1928-2023) appeared in one film, and did other things, including managing a tea
plantation, until the mid-1960s. Since then he has appeared in over 130 films and numerous TV
shows and stage dramas. His stage roles on London's West End have included Juan
Peron in Evita and Captain Hook in Peter Pan. A mere sampling of his feature films
includes Rasputin (1966), The Three Musketeers (1973), Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy (1979),
Lady Jane (1986), Lethal Weapon 2 (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), A Woman
Named Jackie (1991, as Ari Onassis), Surviving Picasso (1996) and Above and Beyond
(2006, as Winston Churchill). He recently published the lively diaries of his spouse of half a
century, Rosemary Ackland. Fine condition.
