JUDY COLLINS
She signs her actor's page in a program for the Playhouse Square Center
Program signed: "Judy/Collins", in blue ink on her actor's page on page 22, 5¼x8¼, 39 pages. Program for the Playhouse Square Center. Judy Collins (b. 1939) was one of the major interpretive folksingers of the 1960s. A child prodigy at classical piano, she turned to folk music at the age of 15 and released her first album, A Maid of Constant Sorrow, in 1961 when she was 22. Her songs of traditional folk material are sung in her pure soprano voice, usually accompanied only by her own acoustic guitar. Collins' first of six gold albums was 1967's Wildflowers, which contained her hit, "Both Sides Now", for which she won the 1968 Grammy for Best Folk Performance. Collins' repertoire has broadened to include gospel, Broadway and many of her own composition. Sticker on verso. Slightly creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
