unknown hand. 2 pages, 6½x9, 1 sheet, front and verso. With 6½x3¼ initiation fee
receipt no. 235487 carbon copy with perforated left edge stapled at top left.
January 14, 1956. Membership form for the American Federation of
Television and Radio Artists as an actor. Composer and pianist Jules
Buffano (1897-1960) worked in the film industry as an uncredited composer
from the late-1920s: Bellamy Trial (1929) and The Singing Fool
(1928). Receiving more recognition for his talents, Buffano appeared as himself
on 3 episodes each of The Colgate Comedy Hour (1953-1954) and The
Jimmy Durante Show (1955).
Form is lightly creased and toned at edges and corners. Receipt has a
fold crease at top left and carbon copy marks. Otherwise, fine condition.
