I sure had a hard time to keep myself from telling you. Did you get the message I left you on Saturday? Hope you both are well & happy. I feel wonderful, happy & I'm a very lucky girl to have finally convinced Polan. I threatened him & he finally gave in & said 'yes'. I was really getting tired of proposing all the time. My family are all very happy. So pleased to get rid of me. They were beginning to get worried. Hope to see you both when I get back. Start rehearsing for 'Kismet' Nov. 29th opening Jan 3, a good steady job. Hope to see you soon. Stay well. Love & kisses." Newmar is best-remembered for her TV role of Catwoman on the weekly series Batman. She played Catwoman for two seasons, but contractual commitments kept her from appearing in the 1966 feature film version. A dancer who appeared in 1950s movie musicals such as Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954) and Li'l Abner, Newmar won a Tony for The Marriage-Go-Round (1959). She played the Devil in an episode of Twilight Zone (1963) and herself in the offbeat film To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar (1995). Lightly creased. Fine condition.
