Prowse's signature on small green paper
Signature: "Juliet/Prowse", in black ink. 4x2 triangle shaped
green paper. South African dancer and actress PROWSE (1936-1996, born in
Bombay, India) made her film debut in Can Can (1960), getting a
big career boost when Soviet dictator Nikita Khrushchev denounced her
performance as immoral. A Las Vegas act, and much publicized
relationships with Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra, followed. She starred in
the TV series Mona McCluskey (1966) and hosted ballroom dance
competitions on PBS, beginning in 1986. She completed a summer tour of Sugar
Babies with Mickey Rooney shortly before her death. Lightly creased.
