In full: "It was very thoughtful for you to send me the beautifully
hand-lettered cards, with your letter of November 29. Thanks so much! I
appreciated receiving them. Sincerely," Julius A. Krug (1907-1970)
was chief power engineer of the Tennessee Valley Authority, and head of the
War Production Board during World War II. As Truman's Secretary of the
Interior (1946-1949), he conducted the unsuccessful negotiations to end a
nationwide strike by the United Mine Workers. Multiple mailing folds. Fine
