Inscribed signature: "To Kathy/June Carter/Cash", 3x5 lined sheet. Ink notes (unknown hand) at top: "1988"; and at bottom "June (Carter) Cash/2-88". As a child, Cash (1929-2003) was part of the Carter Family music group, regulars at the Grand Ole Opry. She met country music superstar Johnny Cash in 1961, accepting his on-stage marriage proposal in 1968. An accomplished songwriter, she penned several of Johnny Cash's biggest hits, including "Jackson", "Ring of Fire" and "If I Were a Carpenter". Johnny Cash won 12 Grammy Awards and June Carter Cash won five. Johnny Cash won the 2003 Grammy Award for Best Short Form Music Video ("Hurt") and June Carter Cash won 2003 Grammys for Best Female Country Vocal Performance ("Keep On the Sunny Side") and Best Traditional Folk Album (Wildwood Flower). Their 2003 Grammy Awards were awarded posthumously. Binder holes at top, broken through to paper's edge. Otherwise, fine condition.
