Photograph signed: "June/Haver". B/w, 8x10 overall, image 7¼x9 (one surface). Still from the 1946 20th Century-Fox film, Wake Up and Dream, which starred Haver as Jenny. This film, which was based on the book, The Enchanted Voyage, also starred John Payne, John Ireland and Connie Marshall. Captioned at lower margin. In the year she appeared in this film, Haver (1926-2005), who had made her film debut in an uncredited role in The Gang's All Here three years earlier, also starred in Three Little Girls in Blue. The previous year, she had appeared as herself (Pin Up Girl) in The All-Star Bond Rally. Starring film roles for June Haver (1926-2005), born June Stovenour, formerly a band singer, also included Irish Eyes Are Smiling (1944), The Dolly Sisters (1945), Oh, You Beautiful Doll (1949) and The Daughter of Rosie O'Grady (1950). After a divorce and the death of a fiancé, Haver announced her intention to become a nun, but she soon emerged from the convent and married actor Fred MacMurray in 1954. She then retired from performing. Creased and soiled at right blank margin. Slightly creased at upper right corner. Minor surface striations (not evident head on) at upper background, minor surface creases (barely visible). Slightly shaded and soiled on verso (no show through). Overall, fine condition.
