Autograph letter signed: "June Stevenson", in blue ink, 1 page, 5x4 attached to 6x4 album leaf (2 surfaces). No place, no date [noted only as 'Tuesday']. To "Dear Julie", in full: "I just received the two papers today. Thank you for the nice write up about me and the show. It was done very well. I'm so glad you enjoyed the show so much. I hope to see you again next year if Holiday plays Cincinnati again. The best of luck on your journalism career. Thanks again for sending the papers. Sincerely". June Stevenson was an American ice skater and performer, star of the touring performance show Holiday on Ice. Originally from Miami, Florida, Stevenson trained at the Coral Gables Coliseum and was discovered while performing a local charity event. Joining the Holiday on Ice cast at the age of 19 in 1957, she quickly became one of the program's finest stars. She stood out amongst other ice skaters because of her long limbs and seemingly effortless grace; a particular style and skill that earned her the most glamorous and seductive roles in the show. Stevenson was also a performer for the Ice Follies, and as of 2010 she was hosting a reunion for the Holiday on Ice original cast in Las Vegas. 5x4 attached to 6x4 album leaf (2 surfaces). Binding holes at left edge of album leaf. Toned and creased throughout and at corners. Small nicks at lower edge. Ink notes (unknown hand) at top margin. Otherwise, fine condition.
