Pamphlet signed "Best Wishes/from/June Whitfield" in silver ink. Two-tone blue-and-white, 12 pages, 3¾x6 (folded), 6x23 (unfolded). Pamphlet for the Chichester Festival Theatre, with a list of programs from April 24, to Sept. 26, 1987. Whitfield's signature is on an ad for Oscar Wilde's An Ideal Husband, in which she appeared as Lady Markby. Whitfield, born in London, England in 1925, got her start on the London stage and on radio, especially the BBC radio show Take It From Here. But she's best known for her television work. Whitfield was June Fletcher on the British sitcom Happily Ever After (1974-1979) and June Medford when the name was changed to Terry and June (1979-1987). (AbFab fans may also recognize her from her numerous appearances as Mother on Absolutely Fabulous). In all, she has over 100 TV and movie shows to her credit, as of this biography, since 1946. Lightly toned and creased. Random ink stains. Folded five times; comes folded. Otherwise in fine condition.
