KarenBlack (1939-2013) is an American actress with over 170 TV shows and movies to her credit, as of this biography, since 1960. Black earned plaudits on Broadway for The Playroom (1965), then moved into films. She received a Best Supporting Actress nomination for Five Easy Pieces (1970), and played prominent roles in films of the 1970s, including The Great Gatsby (1974) and Nashville (1975).
