KATHLEEN HARRISON
Program for a Duke of York Theatre production of All For Mary, signed with "Best wishes" by Harrison on the cast page
Program signed "Best wishes/Kathleen Harrison" on the cast page. Two-tone blue-and-white, 8 pages including covers, 4¾x7, bound with two staples. Program from the Duke of York Theatre in London, England for a production of All For Mary, which opened on Sept. 9, 1954. All For Mary was adapted for film in 1955, with Harrison reprising her role of Nanine Cartwright from the stage production. Often typecast as a Cockney - even though she was born in Lancashire, England, far to the north of London - Harrison (1892-1995) was a veteran of 100 movies and TV shows between 1915 and 1979. She got her start in a minor role in 1915's Our Boys, then debuted on the London stage in a 1926 production of The Constant Flirt. She returned to films in Hobson's Choice (1931). Harrison appeared in several adaptations of Charles Dickens' novels, including Oliver Twist (1948) Scrooge (1951) and The Pickwick Papers (1952) and British TV adaptations of Martin Chuzzlewit (1964) and Our Mutual Friend (1976). She also appeared as Emily Huggett in a popular series of films about the Huggetts, the British answer to MGM's Hardys: Holiday Camp (1948), Here Come the Huggetts (1948), Vote for Huggett (1948) and The Huggetts Abroad (1949). Lightly toned, soiled and creased. Folded once and unfolded. Otherwise in fine condition.
