Buskirk. In full: "Thank you for your charming letter and for
remembering us after all the years. Hope you are well and happy." KATHRYN
MURRAY (1906-1999), an elegant dancer, married ARTHUR MURRAY (1895-1991) in
1925, and together they pioneered the hugely successful franchised dance studios
thatremain popular today. The Murrays introduced several new dances,
including "the Big Apple", and helped to popularize Latin dance in the U.S.
Kathryn hosted Arthur Murray's Dance Party on television
(1950-1961), initially buying air time but soon attracting sponsors for the
popular show. The Murrays taught dance to dozens of celebrities and many
thousands of Americans. Lightly creased at lower left blank margin. Fine
condition.
