B/w 8x10 captioned at lower margin. American jazz singer Kay Starr (1922-2016) began her career at age 7 on the radio in Dallas: at age 10 she made $3.00 a day on her own 15-minute program! At age 15 she earned her first band contract with the Joe Venuti Orchestra. She sang with Bob Crosby and Glenn Miller; she made her first recording with Miller. In 1949 she got her first top 10 hit with "So Tired". Starr released dozens of charting singles over the next 25 years, including "Hoop-de-Doo" (1950), "Side by Side" (1953), and "My Heart Reminds Me" (1957). Two singles reached the #1 spot: "Wheel of Fortune" (1952) and "The Rock and Roll Waltz" (1956). Starr continued to tour and record into the 1970s. Fine condition.
