KAYE STEVENS
The Golden Globe-nominated actress signs her name on this check for $1200.00 to the Ray Noval Orchestra
Check signed: "Kaye Stevens" in green ink. 8¼x3¼. September 5, 1979. Check no. 3500 drawn from the account of Kaye Stevens at City National Bank in Beverley Hills, California. Payable for $1200.00 to the Ray Noval Orchestra. Brassy, redheaded singer, actress and comedienne Kaye Stevens (1932-2011), born Catherine Stephens, was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress for the 1962 film, The Interns. She also appeared in Jaws 3-D (1983) and in several other feature films and television movies. Her television credits include a regular role as Jeri Clayton on Days of Our Lives (1974-1979, apparently the campaign to bring back her character was successful). She also made guest appearances on TV series from Toast of the Town (1962) to Superboy (1990), as well as the shows she mentions here. Stevens, who was known for her elbow-length gloves, showcased her fine comedic and singing talents in her 1962 album, (Not So) Great Songs (Which Were Left Out of) Great Movies (For Obvious Reasons). Minor surface creases. Bank ink stamps throughout.
