Autograph Note signed: “Dear Carey/ Thank you for your inquiry/ + Thanks for your Military Service. I too was in the Military. NAVY/ Sincerely/ Kayton Roberts/ Steel Guitar player for 31 years/ with Hank Snow.” Kayton Roberts (b. 1933) is a steel guitar player. After receiving an invitation to join Hank Snow's band, Roberts moved to Nashville in 1967. Throughout his music career, Kayton primarily played and with toured with Hank Snow's Rainbow Ranch Boys, gracing the stage of the Grand Ole Opry many times. After Snow's death in 1999, Roberts began working primarily as a session musician and began recording with artists such as Riders in the Sky, Allison Kraus, and Hank Williams III. Roberts was inducted into the International Steel Guitar Hall of Fame in St. Louis in 2012. Pencil notes in an unknown hand on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
