KEIR DULLEA
The actor signs a contract stating that his image may be used for promotional and editorial purposes, but must be excluded from commercial use
Document signed: "Keir Dullea", in blue ink, 1 page, 8½x11. March 28, 1968. New York City, New York. In full: "Gentlemen: In consideration of the publicity to be given to me and which may arise herefrom, my consent is hereby irrevocably given to you, your assignees and licensees, and to the Chicago Tribune-New York News Syndicate, Inc. and it's subscribers and licensees, to use my name, picture, or portrait, in publications for editorial or promotional purposes, excluding, however, commercial advertising. Very truly yours". After honing his acting skills in regional theater, Keir Dullea (b. 1936) made a strong film debut in The Hoodlum Priest (1961), following it up with David and Lisa in 1962. Dullea's most famous role, however, remains that of astronaut David Bowman, who battled the Hall 9000 computer and met an enigmatic fate in 2001: a Space Odyssey, directed by Stanley Kubrick and based on a story by Arthur C. Clarke. Dullea reappeared as Bowman in 2010, answering many of the questions lingering from 2001. The Fox, based on a novella by D. H. Lawrence, was released in 1967, winning a Golden Globe for Best English Foreign Language Film. Pencil note (unknown hand). Corners lightly worn. Fine condition.
