Includes one small magazine photos on each side of Maynard and Sands. Western film star MAYNARD (1895-1973, born Kennth Olin Maynard in Vevay, Indiana), a former trick rider with Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show and later Ringling Brothers, made his film debut in The Man Who Won (1923), and he would go on to appear in dozens of Westerns, including three "Trail Blazer" films with Hoot Gibson and Bob Steele. Maynard was film's first singing cowboy and showcased his riding skills on his horse, Tarzan, who was sometimes billed as "Tarzan the Wonder Horse". Maynard retired from films in 1944 before returning to the big screen in two films in 1970 and 1972. He was also a popular attraction at autograph shows. SANDS, born in Chicago, Illinois in 1937, is an American singer and actor. He learned to play guitar at seven and within a year was performing twice weekly on a Shreveport, Louisiana radio station. Colonel Tom Parker signed him to RCA Records and, in 1957, starred in an episode of Kraft Television Theatre as a singer similar to Elvis Presley. He played Teenage Crush on the show, which was turned into a single and peaked at No. 3 on the charts. He also acted in several movies, including Sing, Boy, Sing (1958), Babes in Toyland (1961), The Longest Day (1962) and Ensign Pulver (1964). George R. Sanders, originally a disc jockey, became a prominent radio/TV interview host, first in Los Angeles and later in Portland. Lightly toned and creased. Small rectangular discoloration on Maynard's side. Page has been torn neatly from a pad or larger sheet on one side. Otherwise, fine condition.
