Whenever we drew an animated sequence we had to know exactly where the light was falling in the live-action scene, (sic) Also, human skin tones change along with the quality of light as they move from one area to another and at different times of day. Elliott's coloring had to be adjusted accordingly." Pete's Dragon (1977) was a Walt Disney film in which real actors interacted with a cartoon dragon. The film, on which which Anderson was an animator, received two Oscar nominations, and its video release remains popular with children. Anderson spent 44 years with Disney Studios as an artist, art director and screenwriter, continuing to work on art projects for Disneyland after his retirement from animated features in 1978. His credits include Fantasia (1940), Cinderella (1950), The Jungle Book (1967) and The Rescuers (1977). Slightly creased. Fine condition.
