KENNETH J. ARROW
The Nobel Prize winner in Economics (1972) signed this philatelic display featuring a copy of a page from George Washington's Revolutionary War account book.
First Day Cover signed: "Kenneth J. Arrow," 1 page, 8½x11, copy of a page from George Washington's Revolutionary War account book (5½x8½) over an explanatory 8-line caption. 10¢ Banking stamp affixed at bottom, postmarked New York, New York, October 6, 1975, FIRST DAY OF ISSUE. American economist Kenneth J. Arrow (1921-2017), then at Harvard University, shared the 1972 Nobel Prize for Economics with Sir John Hicks for his contribution to the general equilibrium theory and to social choice theory. Arrow was also one of the first economists to note the existence of a learning curve. His basic idea was that as producers increase output of a product, they gain experience and become more efficient. Slightly creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
