KENNY LYNCH (1938-2019) is an English singer-songwriter and actor. One of the few Black British pop singers of the 1960s, Lynch rose to fame with his chart topping hits "Up on the Roof" and "You Can Never Stop Me Loving You." In 1963 he worked with the Beatles to complete their pop hit "Misery"; however, he had a falling out with Lennon and McCartney while writing their song "From Me to You," criticizing them as poor composers.  He later embarked on an acting career, guest starring on a variety of BBC classics including Curry & Chips (1969) and Till Death Us Do Part (1972).  Recently he  appeared in The Riddle (2007). TONY MANSFIELD (b.1955) was the drummer of The Dakotas, a British Invasion/Merseybeat band of the 1960s.  They were most famous for backing singer Billy J. Kramer as Billy J. Kramer with The Dakotas.  Their biggest hits were written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, such as "I'll Keep You Satisfied", "From a Window", "I Call Your Name" and "Bad to Me". The Dakotas are also well known for their instrumental "The Cruel Sea" which was covered in the US by the Ventures. Mansfield left the band in the 1980s to set off on a financial career. Soiled on side with Lynch's signature. Creased. Right edge worn. Ink note (unknown hand) at top margin. Otherwise, fine condition.
