worn by Costner in the 1987 suspense thriller No Way Out. Inside the cap is the seal of the United States and a small plaque: "Property of Vietnam Veterans in the Media Production Inventory 'No Way Out' Kevin Costner-Navy Dress Cap Jan. 10, 1987". Fine condition. Accompanied by a NOTARIZED LETTER written by Andrew Harland, Director, Military and Veterans Affairs, certifying "that this Lt. Colonel's White Dress military cap was featured in the 1987 film 'No Way Out' and was worn by Kevin Costner in his starring role. My organization was one of the Military Technical Advisors for the film, as director Roger Donaldson wanted to use authentic military equipment whenever possible. We supplied some of the props for the main stars...." Lightly creased, else fine condition. (2) PHOTOGRAPH signed: "K----", Costner's hurried signature. B/w, 8x10 overall, image 6½x8½ (one surface). A scene from No Way Out picturing Costner as Lieutenant Commander Tom Farrell and Sean Young as Washington call girl Susan Atwell. Stained at right margin, else fine condition. This film helped propel Costner to superstardom. Three items.
