KEVIN DOBSON The actor known for his TV roles signs this petty cash voucher Document Double signed: "Kevin Dobson" in print and "Kevin Dobson" in cursive, 1p, 8½x6½. Dated July 20, 1971. Document states that he is to be paid $20 for "services rendered per photo release". Kevin Dobson (b. 1943) is probably best known for his portrayals of Detective Bobby Clarke, partner of Telly Savalas on Kojak (1973-1978); and as Mack MacKenzie, second husband of Michelle Lee on Knot's Landing (1982-1993). He reprised both roles in reunion films. Dobson turned down the lead role in Magnum P.I. (which went to Tom Selleck), in order to star in another short-lived series, Shannon (9 episodes in 1981-1982). In the 1976 film Midway, Dobson played Ensign George Gay, who as the only survivor of the first torpedo squadron from that battle, witnessed from his life preserver the destruction of four Japanese carriers. Dobson has been honored by the American Legion for his longstanding support of hospitalized veterans. Lightly toned. Otherwise, fine condition.
