Kevin Gilbride was born on August 27, 1951 in New Haven, Connecticut.
Gilbride attended Southern Connecticut State University where he played
quarterback. He joined the Houston Oilers in 1990 as the offensive
coordinator and coached the team for five seasons. After a two season stint
as offensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars he was named as the
head coach of the San Diego Chargers. After two seasons with the Chargers
his team had a record of 6-16 and he was let go. From 1999 to 2003 he spent two
seasons as the offensive coordinator with both the Pittsburgh Steelers and
then the Buffalo Bills. In 2007 Gilbride was hired as the offensive
coordinator for the New York Giants and in his first year his offense helped
the Giants reach the playoffs and win Super Bowl XLII. Gilbride coached
Eli Manning and his offense to another Super Bowl victory in Super
Bowl XLVI. Ink note (unknown hand) on
