Autograph note on photograph signed: "Hi Victoria/Warmest greetings/from/'Doc'/and a Happy Birthday./Kevin Hagen/April 2000", in black ink, B/w 5½x7½ closed, open flat 11x7½. Born to immigrant ballroom dancers, actor Kevin Hagen (1928-2005) briefly worked a ballroom dancing teacher before attempting a career in acting. First spotted in a production of Desire Under the Elms, Hagen's early acting jobs were minor television roles, with his first major role being John Colton on Yancy Derringer (1958). Most famous of all his television roles was the kindly Doc Baker on Little House on the Prairie (1974-1983), appearing in 113 episodes of the series. Lightly soiled on left half of sheet. Corners slightly worn. Ink notes (unknown hand) on verso. Image distorted from wear. Slight surface creases. Intentionally creased through center. Otherwise, fine condition.
