(1914-2010) career began with his portrayal of Biff in the original 1948
production of Death of a Salesman. In 1951, he re-created his role
in the film version that launched his movie career. The film assignment that
won McCarthy much notoriety was that of Dr. Miles Bennell in Invasion of the
Body Snatchers (1956), he also appeared in the 1978 remake. In addition
to his movie career that thrived for four decades, McCarthy scored a personal
theatrical triumph in the one-man show Give 'Em Hell, Harry! He starred
in the television series The Survivors (1969), Flamingo Road
(1981), The Colbys (1983) and Bay City Blues (1984). Corners
lightly worn. Corners lightly creased. Small residue stains on left margin and
