Signed autograph note on card with color magazine photo attached. A
rare signature!
Autograph Note signed: "To Kayo/Happiness!/Kim/Stanley", 4½x3
card. Color magazine photo affixed at left edge. Kim Stanley (1925-2001) was
nominated for Tony Awards for her performances in A Touch of the Poet
(1959) and A Far Country (1962). She won a Theatre World Award for
The Chase (1952), and starred in the Broadway productions of
Picnic (1953) and Bus Stop (1955). After narrating the feature
film To Kill a Mockingbird (1962), she earned an Oscar nomination as the
star of Séance on a Wet Afternoon (1964). Stanley earned another
Academy Award nomination for her portrayal of pioneer aviatrix Pancho Barnes in
The Right Stuff (1983). She won an Emmy for a TV rendition of
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof in 1988. Corners lightly chipped. Pencil note
(unknown hand) on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
