To the newly elected President of Chile [Federico Errázuriz Zañartu]. Wilhelm, King of Prussia since 1861, led German armies in the Franco-Prussian War (1870-1871). On January 18, 1871, ten months before this document was signed, the German Empire was created by the Imperial Proclamation of Kaiser Wilhelm I. Folds do not touch signature. 1-inch vertical separation at blank mid-vertical fold. Fine condition.
