KIRBY PUCKETT
Rawlings Official American League Baseball signed by the Hall of Famer, encased in PSA Sports cube with authentication label and an overall grade of 9.
Baseball signed "Kirby Puckett" in blue ink. 2½-inch diameter baseball. Rawlings Official American League baseball, Gene A. Budig, President. With PSA/DNA sticker and certificate of authenticity. Puckett (1960-2006), one of the most popular baseball players of all time, played his entire career (1984-1995) with the Minnesota Twins. His outstanding postseason play led the Twins to their only two World Championships in Minnesota (1987, 1991). An All-Star in ten consecutive seasons (1986-1995), Puckett led the AL in batting average and RBIs one time each and in total hits four times. He collected more hits in his first ten years (2,040) than any player in the 20th century. His career batting average (.318) was the highest for any American League player in the second half of the century. Glaucoma forced Puckett's early retirement from baseball, and he died of a massive stroke on March 6, 2006, at age 45, the second youngest death (after Lou Gehrig) of a player already inducted into the Hall of Fame (2001). PSA/DNA Overall grade: 9. Autograph Grade: 9. Baseball grade: 9. The PSA/DNA seal has been broken to ensure all around visuals of the baseball for the customer.
