This massive, lavish tome is a definitive history of the legendary band with the legendary shows that laid the groundwork for arena rock of the 1970s and 1980s and is stuffed full of photos and even a 30-page graphic novelization of the band's history. The signers represent that band's lineup from Nov. 30, 1991, after the death of Eric Carr, to Jan. 16, 1996, just before Kiss' reunion with original members Ace Frehley and Peter Criss. KISS, formed in 1973, was the brainchild of GENE SIMMONS (bass, vocals) and PAUL STANLEY (rhythm guitar, vocals), former members of the New York-based hard rock band, Wicked Lester. The band, which also includes drummer Peter Criss and guitarist Ace Frehley, became known for its outrageous costumes and heavy metal sound. Kiss has racked up more gold records than any other group and continues to attract capacity crowds on its tours. ERIC SINGER joined Kiss in 1991 after the death of drummer Eric Carr, original drummer Peter Criss' replacement. BRUCE KULICK joined in 1984, replacing Mark St. John on lead guitar and vocals.
