Originally a singer in opera, stage musicals and radio, Kitty Carlisle
(1910-2007), born Catherine Conn, was the only panelist to appear on every
version of the game show, To Tell the Truth (1956-2002). Carlisle,
who played herself as a To Tell the Truth panelist in the 2002
film, Catch Me If You Can, was also a panelist on What's My
Line? (1963-1965). She also made several films, including the Marx
Brothers' celebrated A Night at the Opera (1935). Carlisle, who
was married to playwright/director Moss Hart from 1946 until his death in
1961, published her autobiography, Kitty, in 1984. She celebrated
her 95th birthday by performing her one-woman cabaret act in New York in
September 2005 and appearing in San Francisco in January 2006. Saul Goodman
(1919-2003), a New York business man by day, pursued his love of film and
theatre in the evening, making friends with many celebrities. While other
autograph seekers offered album leaves, Goodman presented stars with snazzy
photographs, a rarity then, to sign in fountain pen. Corners worn and
creased. Lightly toned around edges. Otherwise, Fine
condition.
