KITTY CARLISLE. Photograph signed: "best wishes/Kitty Carlisle". B/w, 8x10. Still from the 1934 film, Here Is My Heart, which starred Carlisle as Princess Alexandra and Bing Crosby (also pictured) as a rich and famous singer who disguises himself as a waiter in order to be near her. Carlisle, who made her film debut in 1934's Murder at the Vanities, also appeared on the big screen in She Loves Me Not that year. Originally a singer in opera, stage musicals and radio, Kitty Carlisle (1910-2007), born Catherine Conn, was the only panelist to appear on every version of the game show, To Tell the Truth (1956-2002). Carlisle, who played herself as a To Tell the Truth panelist in the 2002 film, Catch Me If You Can, was also a panelist on What's My Line? (1963-1965). She also made several films, including the Marx Brothers' celebrated A Night at the Opera (1935). Carlisle, who was married to playwright/director Moss Hart from 1946 until his death in 1961, published her autobiography, Kitty, in 1984. She celebrated her 95th birthday by performing her one-woman cabaret act in New York in September 2005 and appearing in San Francisco in January 2006. Minor surface creases (not evident head on). Light paper clip impression at upper margin. Fine condition.
