Carlisle". B/w, 8x10. Still from the 1934 film, Here Is My Heart,
which starred Carlisle as Princess Alexandra and Bing Crosby (also pictured) as
a rich and famous singer who disguises himself as a waiter in order to be near
her. Carlisle, who made her film debut in 1934's Murder at the
Vanities, also appeared on the big screen in She Loves Me Not that
year. Originally a singer in opera, stage musicals and radio, Kitty Carlisle
(1910-2007), born Catherine Conn, was the only panelist to appear on every
version of the game show, To Tell the Truth (1956-2002). Carlisle,
who played herself as a To Tell the Truth panelist in the 2002
film, Catch Me If You Can, was also a panelist on What's My
Line? (1963-1965). She also made several films, including the Marx
Brothers' celebrated A Night at the Opera (1935). Carlisle, who
was married to playwright/director Moss Hart from 1946 until his death in
1961, published her autobiography, Kitty, in 1984. She celebrated
her 95th birthday by performing her one-woman cabaret act in New York in
September 2005 and appearing in San Francisco in January 2006. Minor surface
