D.C., November 7, 1973, FIRST DAY OF ISSUE. Originally a singer in opera,
stage musicals and radio, Kitty Carlisle (1910-2007) made a few films, including
the Marx Brothers' celebrated A Night at the Opera (1935). She was a
frequent panelist on TV game shows, including To Tell the Truth (1956
and after) and What's My Line (1963-1965). She played herself as a To
Tell the Truth panelist in the film Catch Me If You Can (2002). Fine
condition.
