KUFFS MOVIE CAST: CHRISTIAN SLATER and GEORGE de la PEÑA
Captioned stills from the 1991 film Kuffs, signed by the two actors
Printed Photograph signed in Ink: "Christian/ Slater" and "George de la Peña" in blue felt tip, b/w, 8x10. GEORGE de la PEÑA (b. 1955), a former principal dancer with the American Ballet Theatre, has appeared most notably in Nijinsky (1980), but also in other films including Personal Best (1982) and Mighty Aphrodite (1995). His TV credits feature programs as diverse as Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987-1994) in 1985 and L.A. Law (1986-1994) in 1992. Though Nijinsky received mixed reviews, de la Peña was praised for his portrayal of the great ballet dancer Vaslav Nijinsky (1888-1950). CHRISTIAN SLATER (b. 1969) earned his first favorable notice starring opposite Sean Connery in The Name of the Rose (1986), but did not become a big-name actor until he co-starred with Winona Ryder in the darkly satirical Heathers (1989). Slater has maintained a film career starring in a wide variety of roles: he was a high school geek with a cool secret life in Pump Up the Volume (1990) and a suicidal bookkeeper in Julian Po (1997). A few of the other films in which he has been featured include the romantic Bed of Roses (1996), the high-voltage action movie Broken Arrow (1996), and the suspenseful thriller Hard Rain (1998). Fine condition.
