Photograph signed: "Kyle Rote" in black ink, b/w, 8x10. Kyle Rote, Sr. (1927-2002), an
All-American at Southern Methodist University, played 11 NFL seasons, all of them with
the New York Giants (1951-1961). A running back and flanker, he caught 300 passes, gained
a total of 5,668 yards, and scored 52 touchdowns. During his playing years, the Giants were
NFL Champions in 1956. Enshrined in the College Football Hall of Fame in 1964, he
became an NBC sportscaster throughout the early 1970s. He is the cousin of NFL
quarterback Tobin Rote, and the father of soccer star Kyle Rote, Jr. Corners lightly worn.
