L.A. LAW TV CAST
Script for the 1986 pilot episode, signed by 16 members of the Season Six (1991-1992)
cast.
Script signed: "Blair Underwood", "Amanda/Donahue", "Jill Eikenberry", "Sheila Kelley",
"Richard Dysart", "Larry/Drake", "Alan/Rachins", "Susan Rattan", "Dey Susan" [Susan Dey],
"Conchata Ferrell", "Cecil Hoffmann", "Corbin Bernson", "John Spencer", "Michael Tucker",
"Anthony/DeSando" and "Michael Cumpsty", 118p, 8½x11. Signed on front cover by all
sixteen signers. Untitled episode, revision #3 of the Second Revised Draft, written by Steven
Bochco and Terry Louise Fisher. Bound with two gold brads at left edge. Though untitled,
this was in fact the pilot episode of the hit series, broadcast by NBC on September 15, 1986.
However, the cast represented here was the Season 6 cast (1991-1992). The critically acclaimed
series ran for 8 seasons, through May 1994, winning four Emmys for Outstanding Drama
Series, a number exceeded by no TV series and tied by only two, The West Wing, and
another Stephen Bochco series: Hill Street Blues. Five of the signers here (BERNSON,
EIKENBERRY, RACHINS, TUCKER and DYSART) were part of the series from
beginning to end. FERRELL and CUMPSTY spend only Season Six with the show. All other
signers spent at least two seasons among the shows stars, except for Anthony DeSANDO,
who made eleven guest appearances in 1992. The "LA LAW" California license plate on the
script's front cover was featured on the car of Corbin Bernsen ("Arnie Becker") during
the show's opening in every season. Light crease in upper left corner touches Underwood
signature. Otherwise, fine condition.
