EEILEEN HECKART (1919-2001) appeared on Broadway from the mid-1940s. She earned a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award nomination for The Bad Seed (1956), and then won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for Butterflies Are Free (1972). Heckart, who appeared in a number of TV series and made-for-TV movies, garnered Emmy Awards for Win Me a Place at Forest Lawn (1967) and Love and War (1974). She won a special Tony for Excellence in Theatre in 2000. Born in Germany to American parents and educated in Paris, ROSEMARY MURPHY (1927-2014) has appeared in 15 Broadway plays, gaining Tony nominations for three: Period of Adjustment (1961), Any Wednesday (1964) and A Delicate Balance (1967). She played mothers of three U.S. Presidents in TV movies: FDR's mother Sara (1976), George Washington's mother Mary (1984) and JFK's mother Rose (1991). SUSAN PERETZ (1940-2004) was making her second Broadway appearance in Ladies of the Alamo. She made her feature film debut in Dog Day Afternoon (1975), and was a member of the TV casts of A. E. S. Hudson Street (1978) and Babes (1990-1991). JAN FARRAND (1928-1980) was a stage character actress who appeared in a dozen Broadway plays between 1950 and 1982. She earned critical plaudits for performances in Misalliance (1953) and What the Butler Saw (1970). MARIE CHEATHAM (b. 1942) is a film and television actress, most known for her work on daytime soap operas and other television series. Her first major role was as Stephanie Wilkins Wyatt in the television series Search for Tomorrow (1974), appearing in 11 episodes of the show. She had further recurring roles in Knots Landing (1992), Passions (2002), and Days of Our Lives (1965). In addition to her recurring roles, she made many guest appearances on several sitcoms and movies, including Beetlejuice (1988), The Wedding Singer (1988), and Mr. and Mrs. Smith (2005).
