British author Lady Antonia Fraser, born Margaret Caroline Pakenham in 1932, the daughter of eminent English writers the Earl and Countess of Longford, is known for her historical works, which include Mary, Queen of Scots (1969), Cromwell, Our Chief of Men (1973) and Marie Antoinette: The Journey (2002). She has also written a series of detective stories featuring Jemima Shore, featured here. A Roman Catholic, Lady Fraser caused a scandal in 1977 when she left her husband for playwright Harold Pinter, whom she married in 1980. Lightly creased in upper and lower margins. Otherwise, fine condition.
