He has signed the cover of the Time magazine (1964), which featured him as a "modern alchemist".
Magazine Cover signed: "Lammot DuPont Copeland", 7¼x10 magazine cover - trimmed. Cover features an illustration of Copeland next to some test tubes, the subject of the lead article, "The Modern Alchemists." Based on an original drawing was by Artzy Basheff. Lamott DuPont Copeland (1905-1983), great-great grandson of DuPont Corporation founder Eleuthere Irenee DuPont, worked in DuPont labs and on company planning boards before becoming the chemical giant's 11th President (1962-1967). He remained Chairman of the Board until 1971. Copeland spearheaded DuPont's "new ventures" effort to commercialize a range of new synthetic products. In 1965, he co-founded the Population Crisis Committee, to advise and lobby governments on the dangers of overpopulation. Fine condition.
