Dubbed "the Australian Barbra Streisand," Cantrell was well known in her home land while still a teen. Moving to the U.S., she became a frequent TV guest in the mid-1960s, including 15 appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show. She released seven albums for RCA. Her hits included "I'm All Smiles" and "Like a Sunday Morning". Not satisfied with musical achievement, Cantrell studied law and became a sought-after entertainment lawyer based in New York City.
