Photograph inscribed and signed: "To Allen/Laraine Day". B/w 9x7¼. Shown in movie still from Bride By Mistake (1944). Printed text (7x5) affixed on verso. Laraine Day (1917-2007) reached stardom as Nurse Lamont opposite Lew Ayres in a series of six Dr. Kildare films (1939-1942). Other starring roles for Day included Hitchcock's Foreign Correspondent (1940< The Story of Dr. Wassell (1944), My Dear Secretary (1948) and The High and the Mighty (1954). She hosted a TV program in 1951, and was married to baseball manager Leo Durocher from 1947-1960. Toned. Residue from affixed paper at bottom left edge. Otherwise fine condition.
