1946 film The Medallion, obtained from Day's estate. Day regarded this
film (The Locket, in English) as her finest film achievement.

directed by John Braham. Laraine Day (1917-2007) reached stardom as
Nurse Lamont opposite Lew Ayres in a series of six Dr. Kildare
films (1939-1942). Other starring roles for Day included Hitchcock's
Foreign Correspondent (1940) The Story of Dr. Wassell (1944),
My Dear Secretary (1948) and The High and the Mighty (1954).
Day considered her role in The Locket, shown here, as here finest film
role. She passed up what became Donna Reed's role in It's a Wonderful
Life in order to make it. She hosted a TV program in 1951, and was
married to baseball manager Leo Durocher from 1947-1960. This item
is from the estate of actress Laraine Day, formerly married from 1947 to 1960
to baseball Hall of Fame manager Leo Durocher. They enjoyed the friendship
of US Presidents, Hollywood celebrities and baseball veterans, many of whom
inscribed remembrances to the couple. Signature lightly bleeding. Otherwise,
